The short answer
Carrd and Pinli both help you publish a compact website without building a traditional multi-page site. Carrd is a straightforward one-page builder: start from a template or blank page, add content, and publish a responsive site. Its annual Pro plans unlock custom domains, forms, integrations, analytics and additional sites, depending on the tier. Pinli focuses on a visual grid for creator and small-business pages, with blocks that can be sized and arranged separately for desktop and phone screens.
Choose Carrd if you want a simple one-page website, need to publish several small sites on a low annual budget, or want forms and embeds on a familiar Pro tier. Choose Pinli if you want a profile-oriented visual page, separate control of phone and desktop composition, or reporting for page views, clicks, referrers and campaigns. Carrd has the edge in very low annual pricing and a much larger site allowance on paid plans. Pinli’s advantage is its visual page model and dedicated phone layout. Neither is a general multi-page website platform.

Carrd’s published annual tiers are Pro Lite at $9/year for 3 sites, Pro Standard at $19/year for 10 sites, and Pro Plus at $49/year for 25 sites. Pinli’s prices are $3/$9/$36 monthly or $30/$90/$360 when charged annually, with limits of 1/5/50 pages on Solo/Pro/Studio. Carrd’s annual prices make it especially inexpensive if you need several separate small sites. Pinli charges more at the entry annual level, but the product is organized around arranging and reporting on one visual page. (Carrd Pro plans, Pinli pricing)
How the page builders differ
Carrd describes itself as a builder for simple, fully responsive one-page sites. Its homepage promotes personal profiles and landing pages, and offers dozens of templates or a blank page. The builder supports sections that act like page-like areas within the site, columns, embedded content, custom code, and a mobile preview. These are useful tools for organizing one page, but they do not turn Carrd into a conventional multi-page CMS. (Carrd homepage, Carrd builder documentation)
Pinli uses a board-like layout with resizable blocks. Instead of treating every content item as the same width button or stacking everything into a single uniform feed, a page can give a selected project, video, booking action, newsletter, or note its own visual footprint. A separate phone layout lets you change the order and sizes of blocks for smaller screens. See Pinli’s link-in-bio page or creator page for the kinds of pages this model is designed to support.
Carrd’s site is responsive out of the box, and its documentation includes a mobile view in the editor for previewing how the site will appear. Its troubleshooting documentation describes the mobile builder as “somewhat beta-ish” and says it works in a pinch. That is a qualified statement about editing on a phone, not about the responsiveness of the sites people publish. If you plan to build primarily from a phone, check the current builder experience before committing. (Carrd mobile view, Carrd troubleshooting)
Pricing: annual site bundles vs page plans
Carrd Basic is free for up to three sites. Pro Lite costs $9 per year and also covers up to three sites, adding features such as no Carrd branding, premium URLs, templates, custom templates, video uploads, QR codes and site sharing. Pro Standard is $19/year for up to ten sites and adds custom domains, forms, widgets, embeds, analytics, custom meta tags and local fonts. Pro Plus is $49/year for up to 25 sites and adds advanced forms, advanced settings, downloadable site source, redirects, password protection, variables, site file controls and a canonical URL setting. Carrd lists prices annually, not as a monthly billing option, on its plan documentation. (Carrd plan details)
Carrd also offers a 7-day Pro trial without requiring payment or card details. The trial includes a subset of Pro features such as custom domains, forms, advanced forms, widgets, analytics and custom meta tags. The public pages reviewed do not detail taxes, external domain registration costs, or payment processor charges. A custom domain must already be registered by the user and then connected through DNS. (Carrd trial details, Carrd custom domain setup)
Pinli has no perpetual free plan in its current catalog. Solo is $3/month or $30/year and allows one page; Pro is $9/month or $90/year for five pages; Studio is $36/month or $360/year for 50 pages. Pro and Studio are eligible for a 7-day trial. The monthly equivalent of an annual payment is $2.50 for Solo, $7.50 for Pro and $30 for Studio. Check the Pinli pricing page for the latest offer and plan limits.
The comparison is not only $9 versus $30. Carrd’s $9 Lite tier does not include a custom domain, forms, analytics, embeds or widgets; custom domains and common business features start with Standard at $19/year. Pinli’s Solo has one published page and its paid page plans organize additional analytics history, premium blocks and custom domains around its Pro and Studio tiers. If you need several simple sites and can work within Carrd’s feature gates, Carrd is substantially less expensive. If your priority is the Pinli grid and its reporting, compare the particular Pinli plan you need against the Carrd tier that includes your required feature.
Domains, forms, payments, and integrations
Carrd custom domains require Pro Standard or higher. Carrd provides SSL support through Let’s Encrypt, but the domain itself must be registered separately and DNS records must be configured with the domain provider. Carrd says domain initialization can take up to an hour after setup. (Carrd custom domain instructions)
Pinli supports verified custom domains on Pro and Studio. Its domain is a useful fit if you want a branded visual profile page. The setup and eligibility depend on the plan; check the current Pinli pricing page before moving a live domain.
Carrd Pro Standard supports contact and signup forms, third-party widgets, embeds and optional analytics. The form and widget model is integration-oriented: Carrd documents signup connections to services such as Mailchimp, Kit, ActiveCampaign and EmailOctopus, and widgets from Stripe, PayPal, Gumroad and Typeform. Pro Plus adds advanced forms that can connect with Zapier, Make, n8n and Airtable, send data to URLs, and include Stripe Checkout payments. This evidence supports embedded and form-based payment workflows; it does not establish a built-in product catalog or full storefront. (Carrd Pro plans, Carrd Pro features)
Pinli has contact and newsletter/lead capture blocks and stores subscriber records in its Audience area. It is not a full email marketing campaign platform. Pinli’s Shop pack and payment-dependent blocks are marked coming soon, so native product checkout, tips, donations and digital downloads should not be treated as available features today. If you need to sell products directly from your page, Carrd’s payment-enabled forms may be usable for a limited checkout flow, and external storefront links can work with either product. Compare the exact purchase experience you need rather than equating forms with a full store.
Analytics and search settings
Carrd does not include analytics or tracking by default. Pro Standard and higher let a site owner connect a provider such as Google Analytics, Plausible, Matomo, Cloudflare Web Analytics, Fathom, PostHog, Simple Analytics or Umami. The visitor metrics are viewed through the selected provider. Carrd’s plan documentation also lists custom meta tags on Standard and higher, an automatically generated sitemap for all sites, and a canonical URL setting on Pro Plus. Site title and description can be edited when publishing. (Carrd analytics setup, Carrd plans, Carrd sitemap documentation, Carrd title and description)
Pinli includes reporting for page views, clicks, referrers and campaign data. Analytics history is 30 days on Solo, 365 days on Pro and 730 days on Studio, with CSV export on Pro and Studio. Pinli also supports page title and description overrides, generated share images, optional noindex settings and profile JSON-LD. These are useful controls for sharing and describing a page, but neither metadata settings nor a sitemap guarantee search rankings. Pinli’s reporting is part of its page product; Carrd gives users the choice of an external analytics provider on a qualifying Pro plan.
For search work, also consider each product’s intended page structure. Carrd is designed for one-page sites, which can be a good fit for a campaign or compact profile. Pinli is also centered on focused pages, with its content blocks and visual layout giving creators a way to explain a few key things and lead visitors to a next step. Neither should be selected solely because a marketing page says “SEO.” Identify your need for meta controls, canonical URLs, analytics, multiple pages, or a larger editorial site and verify that the product supports it.
Which tool should you choose?
Carrd is a stronger fit when
- You want a simple, responsive one-page website with a very low annual cost.
- You need several independent landing pages from one account; Standard includes ten sites and Plus includes 25.
- You want conventional sections, embeds, signup/contact forms, or third-party widgets.
- You are comfortable connecting analytics providers and configuring an external domain yourself.
- You want the advanced settings and custom-form options available in Pro Plus.
Pinli is a stronger fit when
- Your profile should look more like a visual page than a list of buttons.
- You want to tune the phone layout independently instead of relying only on responsive resizing.
- You value built-in views, clicks, referrers and campaign reports with a stated retention period.
- You need a compact creator or small-business page with blocks for content, contact, booking, and audience capture.
Carrd is an excellent low-cost choice for simple one-page sites and has a broader ecosystem of documented embeds and form integrations. Pinli’s visual grid and separate phone arrangement offer a different way to compose a profile page. Pinli has no current native storefront, and Carrd’s payment support is based on forms/widgets rather than evidence of a native catalog. Pick the workflow you can support today.
Moving from Carrd to Pinli
Plan the move as a redesign, not a one-click import. The Pinli baseline reviewed for this page documents a Linktree public-handle import, not an automatic Carrd import. Save your Carrd text, image assets, form destinations, analytics IDs, domain records and current URL structure before rebuilding. Add the equivalent Pinli blocks, make a phone layout intentionally, and test each link and capture destination before replacing the link in your social bio.
Check the current Carrd Pro tier before deciding what must be recreated. A site on Standard or Plus may rely on a custom domain, contact/signup form, embedded widget, analytics provider or custom meta tags. Some of those functions might need an external service or a different workflow after moving. If your Carrd page uses advanced forms, custom code, redirects, password protection or canonical settings, document those behaviors before switching. Keep the Carrd page live until the new Pinli page, domain, analytics and forms have been tested.
